Event-based group is formed by activating Group Loop and group device. Members might join with a persona if the admin enable such feature. There are currently two modes to choose from:

• Chat for a group chat in which members will have a common channel and might proactively create sub-channels with other members if permitted by each.
• Community for a full-feature group with more governance and sophisticated activities. Members will have a common forum (and channel if set up by admin) and might proactively create sub-channels with other members if permitted by each.

Event-based group in community mode might have observer(s) who does not present at the formation event but is invited by a group participant (member or admin) to follow group activities without participating in them. Observe can become a member if s/he takes part in the formation event later on.
